Yulin Ng is a stage and screen actor/ creator (writer, director, designer). Her body of work ranges from commercial TV series, indie films, commercial theatre to less commercial theatre, including her original solo work, EVA (2018, 2019). She started out her actor training at Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre Company (Brisbane, Australia) in 2011 while she was studying her undergraduate in Psychology, and went on to drama school in 2013, graduating with a BA (Hons) Acting from LASALLE College of the Arts (Goldsmiths). She carries in her body a breadth of movement experience from various art forms, including the Michael Chekhov work,Lecoq, Butoh, the Suzuki Method of Actor Training, Viewpoints, Mask Work, Kathakali, Noh,Chinese Opera, Balinese dance, Flamenco, Polynesian dance, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary dance, Kalaripayattu, Okinawan Karate, as well as the Fitzmaurice Voicework, which looks at the connection between the body, mind and voice. She is fascinated with the mind-body connection and somatic work, and resonates with the saying, "The body never lies".
She is interested in exploring movement and breath with honesty and specificity.
