Xie Shangbin (b. 1982, Singapore) is active in the community of Playback Theatre and Contact Improvisation. As a performer, he was an Associate Artist with contemporary dance company P7:1SMA for 2018-20 and a founding member of Long Time No See PlaybackTheatre. He is drawn to improvisation and chance encounters. Shangbin started his acting training at Haque Centre of Acting and Creativity in 2013 and was exposed to movement through Dance Nucleus in 2016. Shangbin’s performing credits in 2019 include Kemas, José Maceda’s Cassettes 100, Project Transit: Echoes of Waterloo, Complexnya, The Silly Little Girl and the Funny Old Tree, District 18 and Simone Forti’s Dance Constructions.
