Sonia Kwek performs, life models, makes art and facilitates experiences. Her practice looks at using the body, examining the materiality/materialisation of the body and interrogating body politics. Sonia enjoys disruptive intersections and her work moves between varying mediums of theatre, performance art, dance, installation, etc, which she hopes to continuously explore. Sonia graduated with a Diploma in Intercultural Theatre from the Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI), where she received her training in acting and contemporary performance making . Sonia also holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Drama) with Distinction, a study in interdisciplinary practice, from Queensland University of Technology (Australia).
